Weekend Match Reports

Logan Village Under 6 Yellows were defeated by Park Ridge Football Club U6 Pride! Aiden Norris showed some lovely backward kicking used to defend the ball and Payton Adams used his buttock a few times to manoeuvre the ball into a more favourable position.

The Logan Village Mechanical and Radiator Under 11’s had their first win of the season defeating Logan Lightning. The team were ‘switched on’ on Saturday and worked as a team for the full game, supporting each other in defence and attack. In a free flowing game the Falcons, were led by Jacob Marks and Jack Morley in defence and Ben Havers and Kash Trelora in attack and midfield. Logan Village defended well in the second half and scores were level until Kye Huth volleyed a goal from outside of the box. A goal of the year contender!
Well done to the team and let's keep working hard at training and get another win this weekend.

Dr Wheels Under 12’s had a suspense filled game, spectators would have even paid to see, to defeat Rochdale Rovers. After going to half-time 1 all, Rochdale quickly took the lead in the second half scoring in the 27th minute. As the game was nearly over and seemed to be lost, the Falcons pulled it all together with an outstanding defence and great saves from Goalie Courtney Rae, holding out Rochdale and their flawless attack. Logan Village achieved 4 goals in the last 10 minutes to win the game 5-2 at full time. With Louis Shayan achieving 2 goals and 1 goal each from Hayden Saron, Graysen Angus and a goal kick from outside the box from Dylan Baker. It was a tough game and the Dr Wheels Under 12’s showed their spirit and “never give up” attitude to come away with a win they were all proud of!

A tough battle, but Logan Village Apprentice Witches Div 5 defeated Bethania Rams 2 -1. First goal was a cracker shot from the 18 yard box scored by Carla Rudling ably assisted by Jasmyn Rae. The winning goal was a free kick from way outside taken by Katie McParland in the second half. The backline held out the onslaught, and was backed up by the toughest goal keeper in the comp - Cassie Skinner. The team is sitting 3rd spot on the ladder. Great start for this new second women’s team for Logan Village aptly named The Apprentices!

U7 Yellow played an awesome game to beat Logan City Kings Jaguars. Aston scored 5 Chad & Dylan scored 1 each. Exciting game played by all and some great saves on the goal line in defence.

B-Telco U10 Komodos defence kept us on top of Moggill. Once again our defence held very well against an aggressive team. Wingers played exceptionally well pouncing on loose balls with some exceptional crosses. Playing with no regular subs – big thanks to Reggie for helping out. Player of the Week Paul.

Dr Wheels U12’s had a tough game this week against Ipswich Knights and suffered their first defeat with a 3-2 loss. Goal scorers this week were Ben Lewis and Louis Shayan each scoring a goal in the second half. Despite the best efforts of the defence, Ipswich Knights managed to score their 3 goals in the first half, however, were able to hold Logan Village out in second half. A great whole team effort, they should be proud of.

Over 35 Division 6 lost to Springfield 0-2. A couple of early soft goals woke the team up. Defence held their ground for the last 60 minutes.
